Generic Name: Tretinoin

Use
Retin-A Cream has several uses. Retin-A is widely and popularly used for the treatment of acne, and can also diminish the visible signs of ageing “ removing lines and fades sun spots. It is also used in conjunction with topical hair loss medications. Retin-As main active ingredient, Tretinoin works by increasing the turnover of skin cells and speeds up the shedding of dead cells.

Application
Apply sparingly to affected areas. It is best applied at night because Retin-A is decomposed by strong light.

Side effects
Immediately after applying, the skin may feel warm or mild stinging or redness may occur. Some peeling of the skin may occur. These effects should subside as your skin adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor.

Precautions
This product can make your skin more sensitive to sunburn. When using this product try to avoid too much sun and protect the area of treatment with hats and sunscreen. This medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Abrasive soaps, cleansers, medicated creams or lotions can increase skin irritation. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about their use.
